There are many ways to style water-resistant panels, whether you’re transforming a bathroom entirely or enhancing its existing look. Their natural aesthetic and range of colours make them versatile enough to blend seamlessly into bathrooms of different styles, from modern to rustic.
How to Style Water-Resistant Slat Panels
Styling water-resistant slat panels starts with choosing a colour that captures the look you want to create. If you’re pairing them with a monochromatic marble bathroom, opt for a darker wood tone to bring out the deeper veining in the pattern. For a more bohemian, nature-inspired look, choose a lighter, more natural wood tone.
DIY influencer Laura Hall chose Natural Oak water-resistant panels to “jazz up” her pink bathroom, replacing the black mirror with a red-and-white checkerboard style and adding an abundance of faux plants to complement the fun, colourful aesthetic of the rest of the room.

How to Install Water-Resistant Panels
Installing slat panels is DIY-friendly and can be done in just a few simple steps:
1. Measure and cut
Mark your measurements on the back of the panel, and cut along the line using a fine-tooth hand saw or an electric jigsaw.
2. Apply adhesive
Use a high-quality, solvent-free adhesive, such as Pink Grip Adhesive, and apply it to the back of the panel in straight strips from top to bottom, spaced around 5 cm apart.
3. Fix the first panel
Press the first panel firmly onto the wall, and use a spirit level to ensure it is straight.
4. Continue installing
Add the next panel, making sure there are no gaps between each one and checking alignment as you go. Press each panel firmly into place.
